American european insurance company - Anyone use them?

I received a quote this morning from american european insurance company to replace current insurance from Kingstone.  The rate came in much more competitive, but their A.M. Best rating is only B, which is considered "fair".  Kingstone is rated A-1 or excellent. Should this matter? The building is worth around a million, no mortgage yet. Quotes from USLI and Chubb were about 800 - 1500 higher; but they would also only insure the building up to 500k because they said it was "old". It's not old, everything in the building was gutted and replaced down to the pipes.
