     Yes correct, they came out and said that around Memorial day. If you are a property owner that has this insurance you can get it and anyone else no go. This has happened to State Farm once before for CA, and they came back. Think that they will do that.

    Sure, the few companies left in Cali may write policies - but at 3X the current price, at least that's what I'm seeing now.

    Find an insurance broker in the area of the apartments. They will have access to many of the most competetive carriers for that risk. Insurance is simple when you understand how it is rated. Rates change drastically by zip code, materials, claims in that area, crime score in that area, materials, roof age, type of rental, etc. You are essentially shopping for which carrier has been the most profitable in the given area, so they have the most forgiving rates.
