ENDING LEASE IN MN AFTER RECEIVING RENTAL ASSISTANCE

Mark K.
Posted

Our tenants received rent assistance from RENTHELP MN that paid through Feb. Their lease is now expired. Can we tell them we are not renewing the lease and ask them to leave or are we still required to wait until June when the eviction moratorium expires?

@Mark K. here in MN, that RENTHELP MN payment ONLY covers the time frame it paid for, that's it.

With lease expiration it is normal as with any, you serve notice and communicate that not extending lease, setting move-out inspection and all that fun.
