I have a tenant that is part of Section 8 housing. I am looking to raise his rent. Are there any procedures in place that I have to follow or can I just send a normal rent increase letter to the tenant? Thanks for all the help. I love this community and all the knowledge that I am able to gain about the real estate industry.
In Omaha, sec 8 requires 2 papers filled out which are fairly simple. The increase however cannot be over 3%. It also has to be 3 months before their anniversary move in date otherwise they wont increase it.
