Hi All!
My husband and I are in Cleveland looking at investment properties. We're also trying to find a property management company but I have yet to find one that will pick up their phones or call me back. Anyone have a great property management company that services Cleveland, OH that they can recommend??

I currently have 2 properties with Cleveland Property Management - a single family and a duplex. I have had the single family with them for 6 years and the duplex for less than a year. I WOULD NOT recommend them and would advise you to look elsewhere first.
My experience is that they are NOT good with completing maintenance issues in a timely manner and MUST be "looked after" if/when you have them. I've had maintenance issues take MONTHS to complete with them. Their follow up is VERY POOR (if they respond at all) and they will hit you hard on the cost of any repairs. They have had a lot of turnover recently, appear to be under staffed, manage A LOT of properties and this is not helping their performance.
They did do a good job of finding and screening a tenant for my single family property and we will see what happens with a vacancy in the duplex. Also they are good with rent collection and issues related to that. Look to pay 10% of gross rents.
After some work that needs to be completed I will be looking for another company.

James Wise We are, no realtor currently. We've used LoopNet to find most of the properties. I've been reaching out to the listing agents who have also been surprisingly hard to get ahold of. I've requested PM recommendations from the one who did get back to me. Is your company currently taking on new clients?

@Zach Evanish I found 2 companies called All Star. One is Allstar Management, and the other is Allstar Property Management. Can you shed a little light on which one you are using?
Hello I'm also looking for a reliable and trustworthy Property Management Team. I'm thinking about entering the Texas market soon however I'm getting deterred away from my Uncle who had a dissatisfying experience with a PM team once when he had a rental property in Austin. The PM team he hired weren't really upfront about keeping an eye on the tenants and monitoring the condition of the house. Knowing that my Uncle was living in Singapore at the time, they probably figured that they could get away with lying to my Uncle, since he lives so far away, telling him that they visit the rental frequently and that they maintain it to where it needs to be. Little did they know my Uncle decided to do a little random spot check when he came down to the US for one summer vacation and to his demise he found that the tenants were growing marijuana in the backyard!!
Is there any way around this other than taking the PM word for it? It's becoming really discouraging because hes constantly telling me PM teams are only out for themselves to collect the check so they can get their commission and have no time to baby your rental seeing they have hundreds of houses to take care. I was hoping since I'm not far away like he is (I live in Cali) that maybe I can fly down every 5-6 months to check up on the house myself? The thing is flying down can be time consuming and airline tickets can eat away my profits. Is there a workaround this?

Hi Nick, are you looking for a PM in Texas, or in Cleveland, OH?
Or is your question more general?
A good property manager will document all their work, all their inspections, etc. and would be able to furnish those records to you upon request.
