My renters pay gas, electric, water, sewage. In calling the utilities they said if they are paying I in no way have to have my name on the account and the renter sets it up themself.
The current tenant is who i purchased the house from. When they move out at the end of the month and the new tenant moves in 7 or 8 days later, how are the bills covered say between the 31st and the 8th?
Here, we set up a landlord account or standing order for the property. When tenants close their account, the service automatically reverts back to my name. This way I get alerted when they start or stop service. I'd check to see if your local utilities offer something like that.
