Tax appraisal dispute service in Bell County Texas?

Howdy,

I have a couple SFR rental properties in Temple Texas and am looking for recommendations for a property tax dispute service that works in Bell County Texas. Is this sort of thing worth it or am I wasting my time?

I appreciate any recommendations that anyone can provide.

    I haven't looked into a service but I will be doing mine. So far i have setup appointments and next thing would be for lots and lots of pictures.

    If you find a company/service please let me know you experience on how it goes

    Thanks for the quick reply.

    So far the only one I've found online that states they specifically cover Bell County is hometaxshield.com.  I'm chatting with them now to get a couple questions answered, but they charge $30/property/year fee plus 30% of any tax savings they achieve for you.  Most of the other services that I've seen online do not charge an upfront fee, and some are 30% while others are 40-50% of the tax savings.

    I'll let you know if I find a better option.

    @Darald Berger I recommend Home Tax Shield and one of the cheaper options you will find. Five Stone and Texas ProTax are bigger and better known, but also more expensive. You also don't need to protest if they appraised you well below your actual market value. You want to protest if they have clearly overshot the market and you have validation to get them to lower the tax appraisal value. I hope this helps.

    @Darald Berger I just hired O’Conner and associates to protest my taxes in Killeen. I tried to protest myself last year and lost. O’Conner charges 50% of the savings with no upfront fees. O’Conner came recommended from another BP thread.
