Real estate doesn't have to be scary! We want to remove the fear of investing and leave you with the tools and knowledge to leverage your assets and scale up. Sarita has helped numerous house hackers and investors purchase investment properties in Illinois. The one thing that will inevitably come up with every buyer is nerves. There is a lot of uncertainty in investing. The endless hypotheticals will give you analysis paralysis. Unless, you know how to navigate the market, properties, and the transaction. By attending our meetup, you will learn how to make more educated decisions and let go of your nerves.

Good topic to build a meetup around. Self management is one of those things people either swear by or run from, and most of the fear comes from never having actually done it.

I've managed a few hundred units across the south and west suburbs, and the thing nobody tells new owners is that the do's and don'ts Daniel's talking about are mostly about systems, not properties. The owners who burn out are the ones treating every tenant issue as a one off. The ones who scale figure out a repeatable process for screening, maintenance, and collections and then stop reinventing it every month.

Worth showing up for if you're on the fence about managing your own. Even if you decide to hand it off later, you'll make a smarter hire knowing what the work actually is.

We actually spend a lot of time talking about the nuances of these 100 year old Chicago buildings at every meetup. Systems are important but for our mom and pop landlords understanding the care of these buildings can make or break how and if they self manage. Trying to compare inventory in Chicago is like comparing apples to toasters. Each building has had different updates over the years and different ownership types. It's very important owners understand that or their numbers won't work and to your point it can change the self management goals.

Daniel has personally owner occupied 5 different properties before becoming a property manager. His experience from the inside is very important for anyone looking to house hack with self management.

Thanks for your comment Mike if you can make the drive in we hope to see you there!
