Hello everyone, my names jose and i'm new to real estate investing and i am currently looking in the south jersey area( specifically areas like woodbury, deptford, vineland, gloucester city.) i currently work full time as a corrections officer but would like to pursue real estate investing! also I am looking to buy and hold in these areas. Is there anyone who currently invests in this market that'd be willing to help a newbie out? I'd be willing to go out to coffee or lunch to discuss this in further detail and help out in any way i can!

Hey Jose, welcome to BP! I always recommend newer investors to go to meetup.com and make an account. You can go to the local meetups in your area regarding real estate investing to network with other investors. Good luck!

Hi Jose, welcome to BP. If you are looking to connect with local real estate investors I recommend going to the newbies group at the SJREIA. See @Tom Dagney link in his signature for more details. There are many locals investing in the areas you mentioned.

@Akash Patel. There is a Monmouth County REIA that meets in Belmar that might be closer to you then Princeton. Central Jersey and Monmouth County Real Estate Investors. You can find them on Meetup.

I am looking into buying a second property (condo) in central / south NJ to shorten my work commute from Bedminster to Mt. Laurel.
I want to buy a property that can hold it’s value even in a recession and that could be rented out later if needed. Would anyone have any insight for me on where (towns) to look?
I was considering condos in West Windsor township or Robbinsville as this would be more of midpoint for me the the wife’s commute and they both have good school districts.
If any body from the local central NJ area and knowledgeable can chime in and suggest to educate me a bit I would really appreciate it.

@Michael Dvorkin I have a lender in North Jersey that would be able to assist with any of your needs . He has serviced my secondary duplex in Burlington County .
