Tagging a few 'colleagues' (some near, some not so near) to see if anyone is interested in a really informal REI coffee or something.... I see that there are a few of us in the area, some much more seasoned than others, and thought I might as well suggest some sort of meetup in the midcounty area.

Josh depending on the timing I would be willing to do a meet up.
In reality there is already a local group of investors who loosely stay in contact with each other. Mostly phone calls and the such. For the most part we know or know of each other.
Even though the area is not large it seems that each area has their own group of established investors. The groupings seem to be Mid county, Pa, North/South Beaumont, West Beaumont, Hardin County, Vidor, Orange, BC and Pa.
From my experience there has not been a lot of cross mingling. Most local investors tend to pick just one area. For example I know of one investor who only works in Groves. I also know a couple like this in Orange and Bridge City. Very few will own or operate in Beaumont and Port Arthur.
Several years back a few us would try to meet every so often. However, as everyone was busy eventually the meetings died off. Really the meetings were just reasons to hang out for an hour or two.
Oh, I should also mention that most of the investors I know are landlords or house flippers.

Wow, Jad, that's definitely the most information/feedback I've heard about local investors.... I'll give others some time to weigh in, but I'd absolutely work around your schedule.

WOW. Thanks everyone for the response!!
I think I am gonna go investigate this meetup.com that @Jeremiah Gentz has suggested... he thinks it may be easier to accommodate schedules that way.
@Daniel Michalik I just listened to a new Podcast and decided I need to make a meet happen. I've got knowledge on some things I'd like to share, and I'd definitely benefit from other's POV. Plus, if your anything like me, most of your friends eyes glass over when you trying to talk REI etc.
Anyway, I'll investigate MeetUp.com and keep yall posted!

so, I looked at meetup.com and here's what I am thinking.
There is already a group for southeast Texas, and I don't wanna step on anybody's toes. My personal preference would be to meet up as a small Bp member group, then see where we want to go from there.... I think it would be easier to get to know other members of the group if we are a smaller group.
But I will humbly bow the the majority'a opinion... What do y'all think...

I've come across a website called Doodle. It'll make things easier to schedule if there's more than two people involved. This is the websites personal description:
Doodle is an online scheduling tool that can be used quickly and easily to find a date and time to meet with multiple people. First you suggest dates and times for your event participants to choose from, then Doodle creates a polling calendar that can be sent to participants for feedback. As each participant selects the dates and times from the polling calendar that he or she is free, Doodle aggregates the responses and tells you which option works best for everyone.
I hope this can help get everyone together. The only issue with this is whether or not everyone wants to use this website. Personally, I don't care how a meet up is organized, I would just enjoy meeting and learning from everyone.

@Josh Autery I'm in Lake Charles/Sulphur market. Do y'all have a regular meet up? We don't have one here. I might would come to the area for a decent meet up.
