Has anyone applied for funds through the Rental Assistance Program in Mississippi? Do you know if any of the funds have been disbursed at this point, or what the time line might be.
I applied 6 weeks ago and haven’t received any funds. The online portal is suppose to help you track the status of your application, but mines still say application submitted after 6 weeks. I tried calling the toll free number and speaking to someone directly. They’re not disclosing any information. Just telling you to use the portal to monitor your application.
I applied for a tenant my app is now saying application pending approval is that a good sign
Yes! By tomorrow the application should say “Application in QC review”. My QC review took two days before the status was changed to “Application Approved”.
@Kristy Mitchell how long has your payment schedule been showing before you got that email ?
I haven’t received my email yet I don’t believe I have anyway. I’m trying to find out the email address or who it will say it is from so I know what I’m looking for in case it goes to spam. I have received emails twice and neither one was from ramp and they were 2 different email addresses. I have been “approved” since August 23rd, my payment schedule is listed with the amounts they originally said “pending” beside them with date of “September 13th”for payment and my overall status above said “payment processing”. The status beside my payment schedule 2 days later changed to “paid”, then 2 more days it went to “payment processing”, and that is what it says now but my overall status above says “Batched” and has been saying that now for 2 days. This is the biggest headache I have ever had to deal with. I feel like it has added so much more stress on top of the huge amount I already have just trying to navigate through this ordeal!!! This feels like a joke like there is no possible way our government/state seriously can’t come up with a better process than this mess!!!!
from what I read earlier batched could mean your payment is in a batched group..noone seems to know how often they send out batched payments meaning they could only send em once a month..surely you must be close to the batch paying out since it's been almost a month right....

@Spence Rodman
I received a payment 3 months ago for a tenant who was 15 months behind. I was also told 15 months is the max allowable and that tenant would not be eligible to reapply. Took about 6 months to receive payment. Also have another tenant pending payment. Hope this helps
My payment schedule says processed as of today but status says processing still. I wonder if they deposit on fridays?Mondays? Any specific date? Anyone compare ?
❤Guys as far as I know aslong as you applied, submitted accurate documentation & got approved, you will eventually receive payment for rent or utilities. I heard utilities can take longer because they would be sending different payments out, like to pay for your lightbill or waterbill if it's only rent they can send that out in one payment, which is why it's quicker! In the beginning the process was slow, but now the process is starting to speed up. It takes about a month before they start looking at your application once you apply. I been writing the process down, step by step, to get a better understanding! Also guys the date I was talking about September 30th is Relocation of Funds for Rental Assistance! It doesn't mean the program ends. They are gonna relocate funds to serious parts of the state that need rental assistance! Don't worry guys this doesn't mean the funds are gone, they just started Ramp in March of 2021, so the rental assistance will probably last until next year!❤
I Sat in app submitted for over a month amd they have finally started moving on my case..I went to pending review, to pending approval to now qc review with payment schedule showing amounts and says pending...can anyone tell me the next steps please?

I would like to know as well. Our story is exactly alike. I stand where u are now. Yall tell us the next step!!
The program does have money to my knowledge, but for some reason, it is slow in its response time. I applied a month ago and finally heard something last week. It went from saying application submitted to now pending approval. They did message me through the portal and told me that they just got off of the phone with my landlord, so hopefully, something will happen fast. You would think that they would have a physical location and that many would be hired and trained as customer service agents to expedite things, but no. Hopefully, the program becomes more responsive to the applicants and more efficient in processing these applications as time is running out for , many.
@Tawanda Leonard mine is the same..it says qc review as status but under payment schedule my utility bill says processed and rent is pending..idk what any of it means...like what's the next step etc
