Has anyone applied for funds through the Rental Assistance Program in Mississippi? Do you know if any of the funds have been disbursed at this point, or what the time line might be.
I applied 6 weeks ago and haven’t received any funds. The online portal is suppose to help you track the status of your application, but mines still say application submitted after 6 weeks. I tried calling the toll free number and speaking to someone directly. They’re not disclosing any information. Just telling you to use the portal to monitor your application.
I applied for a tenant my app is now saying application pending approval is that a good sign
Yes! By tomorrow the application should say “Application in QC review”. My QC review took two days before the status was changed to “Application Approved”.
@Laporsha Spiva it took about 3 days to come ,and no it probably want be paid Monday but just know they gone pay but I’m in MS some things are slower than others but just call the utilities and see if they see something pending ok
how long did the recert process take. I filed it on Dec. 6 and it says under review
I haven't did the recertification this is from my very first application
@Laporsha Spiva the utilities go threw another department my neices still pending for a couple of weeks now and I have a friend hers been pending but it might come thru not sure but that big money on the way and yes stay positive and pray that’s all we can do Happy Holidays
How does the check suppose to come because I see something in the mail on informed delivery but I'm not sure if it is right I saw another person say they got there from the same place
My utilities have now moved to processed im going to call the utility company's tomorrow or Friday to see if they have gotten anything in my rent has been paid up
@Laporsha Spiva mines came in a regular white envelope but I can see it’s a check thru the envelope but people are saying it’s coming in a different envelope now don’t throw nothing away look at everything because it could look like junk but it’s a check

Its says bill.com and says payment enclosed on the front

Is it a certain limit that walmart cashes or do I have to set in in a bank account how did you do yours
I'm just curious will they pay it straight to the utility company
From my understanding it will go straight to the utilities company unless they don't participate it will come to you my utility is going straight to them its says it beside the payment schedule
@Laporsha Spiva I have a bank account they put a hold on so much and gave me some.If there is a Wood Forest bank in y’all Wal Mart you can open and account for $5,and then take it all out .I don’t think there’s a limit at Wal Mart because they cash income taxes

@Becca Stringer hello my recertification been in since September.I am in recertification in review what’s your status saying? I am in my last month of payment now
@Laporsha Spiva do you have a check cashing store in the area where you live, and yes everyone said they have a hard time cashing them it’s threw Chase bank I think! Do the Wal Mart have a Wood Forest Bank inside of it ,if so try them
@Shaeanta Miller batched me it’s sent out already they came out in a bunch at a time and processed means your approved for payment and no it doesn’t have have to say paid mines just said batched
