Hey Tucsonans!
I have been studying real estate investing for a while now. Are there any seasoned multi-family property investors in the area that I can underwrite investments with? I want to become really familiar with the process of finding and analyzing deals while I build capital, and hopefully find some future partners in the meantime!

Hey everyone. I host the Old Pueblo REI Club meetups every month. Because we have more of an open format instead of having the meeting dominated by a speaker it tends to be a great opportunity to connect. Due to COVID we are meeting virtually. I will be posting the information for the next meetup today in the meetup section of the forums but also feel free to message me and I can get you the info that way.

If any of you are interested, I’m planning a meetup in Tucson at Borderlands Brewing Co this Saturday the 20th at 6:30pm. It’s just a grab a beer and hang out with other investors sort of thing. Probably 5-10 people or so. Feel free to drop by!

@Will Ma There is an ongoing meetup group that meets the first Thursday of the month at ten55 brewery at 6pm. The next one is Thursday Nov. 4th. I just started a Facebook group page called Tucson Real Estate Investor Meetups to encourage more people to get the information to meetups. Thanks @Holly Boss for moving this forward with some Social Media presence! @Colby Fryar has been running a meetup for while. It was a struggle over the past year plus with pandemic stuff but we are back to in person meetings. The last four meetings have been awesome! Attendance has varied, we've had double digits a few times. But every time I have met a few more people that have provided tons of value and have been great resources for me going forward. Our goal is to get more and more people to come and grow this into the even greater networking opportunity it can be. And ANYONE can come, it isn't just for MF and BRRRR despite the title.
Just as a general note, AZREAI is having a meetup at tucson association of realtor tomorrow tuesady Oct 12th. Also AREAI Tucson Subgroup hold monthly at Realty executive on Tanque verde. Then for more of Multiunit/Apartment @colby fryer hold a monthly meeting as mentioned above. Hoping someone would initiate a "Club House" room for Tucson's Investors. Let me know if I can be of help.
Thanks everyone who has responded, and @Holly Boss for being a social media leader! I'm very excited to jump into all of this. I'm powering through the Rookie realestate podcast to and from work daily, and picking up lots of things. Plus starting to build the network as best as I can.
In the meantime (before 4 November), is there ONE real estate book you all would recommend for the brand-brand-brand newbie? Podcasts and MillionAcre articles (via Motley Fool) will only get me so far, and if I've heard one mantra over and over, it's to just DO IT, letting mistakes 'fail me forward', as nobody's first house story is ever perfect (in hindsight), but is absolutely essential for turning a vague idea into actual action
