Is buying a piece of land in north Forsyth county a good long term investment?

Since its growing at a decent pace,  the option of just buying and forgetting it seems very attractive.   What am i missing

As long as the price is right, it is certainly a good investment. I don't like giving the "as long as the price is right" answer, because that is just a blanket answer to any problem. Have you looked at what land is going for per acre around you? Forsyth county is still relatively rural so I doubt it would be hard to pull up some sales of land recently. Is this parcel located near a town or any commercial development? Or close to any residential development? What is the sq. footage or acreage of the lot you are purchasing?
