I live in Clarksville, Tn I am getting out of the navy in a year and a half and wanting to go all in real estate investing. Interest are wholesaling/renting/flipping. Any advice for someone starting out?
Hey Kyle, do you plan on staying in the Clarksville area? My advice would be find a part of investing that interest you the most and start there. Create your own "Niche" and run with it!

Thank you for your service Kyle! My wife and I both served in the Navy also. We are real estate agents and investors in Waverly, TN. We lived in Clarksville for a few years when I got my job at TVA. With its proximity to Nashville, Austin Peay and growing business environment, it is definitely a good place to invest. If you need any help when you get out, just let us know. BTW, we are doing buy and hold rentals in Humphreys County using the BRRRR strategy.

Thank you for your service Kyle. I too live in Clarksville TN. and am brand new to R/E. i also just want to do wholesaleing, Tax Properties, and notes. I am wanting to join a group of people or be mentored. one thing I wish to do regardless of help or assistance is to start an LLC in hopes that other people, experianced or not, will be willing to become a part of it in order to build themselves and their goals and dreams with it. i have finally cleared up some financial issues and have money to work my first property, but am kinda clueless and hope for some local mentoring. i have seen alot of amazing deals go to others because I do not know what to do really. I look foreward to meeting you and hope we can build a good foundation for you new life.
Thank you for your service @Kyle Robins As mentioned above, find a area you like, find an agent or investor familiar with that area. I would also recommend finding a specific strategy/method to your investing. With real estate investing, there are a lot of ways to do it and can be a bit over whelming.
Also, I would watch the USDA Rural Housing resale website and Fannie May for upcoming auctions. Homepath properties would be good to do live in flips. Not sure what your current living situation is. Auction.com listings require all funds in cashier's check on day of the auction. I've never bought one from them but have from the others.
