Hello...Is Seattle there? (Agent? Contractor? Mariner's Fan?)

Hi Guys,

I have been trying to contact some "investor friendly" Realtors, as well as Contractors, and knowledgeable Investors in the Seattle area.  I will be moving to the area in the foreseeable future, and want to develop these relationships so that I can start investing there now.

I have yet to receive a response from anyone I have contacted.  I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

Anyway, for any experienced, trustworthy, and motivated Realtor or other contact in the Seattle area, who would like to work with someone with those same qualities;

My initial interests (without the benefit of the latest local information) is to fix and flip entry level priced homes in Snohomish and Pierce Counties, and possibly do some development work. I have some of my own money, and access to some private money.  I'm not looking to waste anyone's time, including my own.

If you are an investor focused Realtor, Contractor, or Investor that would consider a JV or Partnership, and are interested in the possibility of working together, please contact me immediately. Thank you.

Robert

<--- In Snohomish.

Everett is cheap- I'd go there.

If you go out of your way to tear down 100 year old homes in Snohomish- I'll never forgive you.

But- I am willing to help as long as you don't destroy historic home haha

    @Robert Slatkin

    The permitting part is the most painful part, sometimes it might even take longer than the rehab itself.  When we submitted permits, the intake date was 2 months out.  And then they took their sweet time reviewing it... and sometimes we have to go through multiple revisions.  In our latest permit submission, there was a power play between the designated reviewers.  The soil guy wanted us to modify some of our structural designs and then yelled at the structural guy for approving the structural portion of the permit, even though that was outside of his scope/jurisdiction.  But once we have permits in hand, the rehab takes 3-6 months, depending on how extensive it is.

    We haven't explored buying lots and building on them yet, so I'm not able to give you an answer for that, unfortunately :-(

    But once you're in town, we should have coffee.  I can also show you to some of the local meetups and I'm pretty sure you'll be able to find people there that can answer all of your questions.  There's a huge and vibrant real estate community here in Seattle :-)

    @Nghi Le Thank you for your input on this.

    I have experienced the frustration that comes with trying to develop in high growth, anti-development areas.  It can take years off your life.
