Legit or just another guru wannabe REI

I went to a real estate meet up and it was advertised as free and "don't bring your credit cards" I'm not going to lie I got my hopes up a bit. Sadly as I expected it was just another sales pitch for some guru coaching program except this one is lifetime access and actually works "unlike those other gurus" LOL Anyways it was held by these two Asian American brothers from Chicago who flew to San Antonio called the Kwak brothers, who are supposed millionaires at the age of 25. They flew all the way out here to help us out and teach us, yeah right they came to sell a program which they admitted makes them 30 grand in extra income a month. At least they are honest about that. They taught us Owner financing and made it seem all peaches and cream which it isn't, and as if that was the norm and was a brand new state of the art best thing ever way to take down deals. They offered a 20k course through myrenatus.com and were really pushing this thing called velocity banking which you could only learn through their education course. Has anyone heard of them or dealt with them before? I am going to start asking all the time when I run across these gurus because I want to know ya'lls opinions and help others learn more or avoid them in the future before making a huge financial decision.

    Sam KWak so there’s no way to verify what you say is true? Lol that’s convenient. Also why did you even mention Michael Guzik faith when trying to get him to do you a favor? If y’all have that in common great but that’s irrelevant to this thread.

    @Caleb Heimsoth I would lie if I were okay with a FTC complaint and a complaint to my state's Attorney General. I would love to provide you records and say "I told you so!" but by disclosing documents on the internet puts me, my brother and my partner in serious jeopardy. I've done this before out of my own pride and ego and it didn't end well...  Feel free to send my attorney a quick email. https://www.mconradlaw.com/

    I think the time has come where people who sell investment advise on real estate should be bound by a code of ethics and be subject to significant disclosures of their own investments. At this time it’s a wild Wild West our there and there is no way to verify who is authentic and who is not. I personally can’t fathom why anyone who would pay $30k for some obscure course.

    @Sam Kwak

    If reality is aligned with your claims then why not just put your course in a book and sell it for $23.99, like a normal person?

    @Sam Kwak I see where you buy the property in May 2017. Not seeing the part where you sell it for a profit...

    This is the property pin so we're on the same page:

    Just to clarify my previous post. @Sam KWak said that he had disclosed the location of one of his investment properties on his Youtube Channel. I watched this Youtube video, looked up the property via the Cook County Assessor/Recorder (it's in Chicago), and found the property he purchased. He did indeed pay $20k for it (per the video). However, as far as I can tell, there is no evidence that this property was ever sold (@SamKWak claims he flipped it, and that's why he was ok disclosing its address, despite the fact he posted the video within a week of purchasing the property....pretty quick flip given that the brothers are sledgehammering walls in the video)

    I haven't seen them popup since BC (Before Covid) but I wouldn't give them a penny. They have the whole Tai Lopez and Dan Lok vibe going. With that kind of money you can do it without them. A ton of free resources out there. Vendors who can provide you a great service and value. I have a number of them in mind.
