How can a 17 yr old make a bond with a rental investor

Question

Hello I am 17 yr old in the Chicago area and I want to know how to create bonds and relationships with real estate investors because I want to gain their knowledge and I am willing to offer my time and work for their knowledge, I do not know how to approach them in a way that makes it akward or make me look lazy and just looking for handouts. I don’t want to make myself look desperate for looking for one either I just want tips on what ways I can approach them to gain their knowledge and build a relationship them as a young person.

I am not a complete newbie I have education on rental investing and will continue education myself. I have a lot of time in my hands and I want to expand my knowledge.

@David Trujillo - That's awesome for wanting to get out there and start learning more at such a young age. I think you are already doing what you need to network. I also suggest reading as many books as possible, books changed my life.

I think if you can figure out how you can add value to some of the more experienced investors on BP that would be a good start.

We all have some unique abilities/skill (such as bookkeeping, analysis, project management, deal finding, cold calling, etc.) that we do exceptionally well at, figure out what that is and bring a clear laid-out plan of how you can help. Most investors have so much going on they won't have time to figure out how you can help them so do the leg work for them.
