I went to a local REIA meeting and met local investors, realtors, and other vendors. Overall I felt the REIA meeting was very disorganized and the people there seems to be pretty shady with inconstant stories and very vague responses. Pretty disappointed. I am in Central Jersey. Any suggestions where to go from here? I am in central Jersey.
Try Flipper and Funders meetup in South Orange, which is hosted and ran by Kyle Jasey. They have it once a month and it's a great meet up with a lot of high caliber investors.
@Herlando Y. I assume that this was the SJREIA Central meeting? The SJREIA meetings are usually very good. The Central meetings are fairly new, so they may still be getting the kinks out. I would suggest going to the regular main meeting as well.
Good, helpful people, including @Joseph Scorese are active in the SJREIA.
I also run a group in Red Bank called Central Jersey REI. We meet on the last Thursday of each month, if you're interested. We're not as large as some of the other groups, but are continuing to develop and grow.
