First, identify why you are getting into wholesaling. If it's to make money first, try something else. Second, identify what skills you have that give you an advantage over other wholesalers. Do you have MLS access (licensed agent)? Do you know repair costs (contractor background)? Do you have calling and marketing background? If no to all, do something else.
Jamil Damji has a good book on wholesaling to start with, but the thing to remember is you need marketing money and connections. I would go to meetups for six months before deciding wholesaling is your track. Try to meet a wholesaler and do some gopher for them.
