620-acre 'Main Street' project advances in Georgetown

Heirloom could be a massive destination project for Georgetown, which is located about 30 miles north of Austin, has been among the fastest growing cities in the country the last few years and recently topped 100,000 people for the first time. 

Plans for the site include 3,600 housing units, which would be a mixture of single-family homes, townhomes and apartments alongside 48 acres of parkland. It would also include at least 200,000 square feet of commercial space centered around a Main Street development that officials want to be similar to what the city has in its downtown square.
