Choosing A Property Management Company

When you’re evaluating a property management company, what matters most to you?

Is it lower fees, even if that means less communication, fewer updates, and a more hands-off approach?

Or do you prefer slightly higher fees in exchange for consistent communication, detailed reporting, proactive problem-solving, and a management team that treats your investment like their own?

I see owners land on both sides of this, and there’s no one-size-fits-all answer. Some investors are extremely cost-focused and comfortable managing gaps themselves. Others value transparency, responsiveness, and strong tenant management because it protects their time, their asset, and their long-term returns.

Looking forward to hearing different perspectives from this group.

Too many owners naively think all PMCs are the same and all do everything the same way.

So, in their minds price is the only differentiator😞
