I am just wondering if anybody around the Sacramento area is still active on Biggerpockets? It doesnt seem like there are any sacramento investors on Biggerpockets , but I could be wrong.
There are often local real estate groups that can provide valuable insights and connections. You might also want to attend local real estate meetups or networking events to meet fellow investors in person. Additionally, checking out platforms like LinkedIn or Meetup.com could help you find active communities in the Sacramento area. Good luck with your search!
Definitely a lot quieter than it used to be. I think it's just a consequence of a slow real estate market and a turbulent economy. But don't worry, Gordon -- I'm still lurking!
Hi Gordon, good question. I believe that West Sacramento still has regular meetups. Folsom used to at Out Of Bounds Brewing, but I think that the organizers don't host that one any longer. I don't recall seeing any over in Placer County. When BP switched to promoting vendor members who pay, not permitting a website in my Pro account signature, and not permitting me to post market updates if they have my contact information listed, I became a lot less active on BP and use other channels more.
@Ben Howard that makes sense on being less active with all the restrictions. I have found meetups from instagram in Placer county. I am less active on bp also.

I suppose it would be disingenuous to say that I joined BP in 2017 to just support the community with posts vs. getting new clients - however it was, and has always been my intention to lead with value by offering investors access to resources which I subscribe to as an agent first and foremost. Should an investor appreciate my help then they have tended to hire me to represent them. The original spirit of the BP podcast from back then seemed to be for the benefit of the investing community.
@Noah Laker I just wonder if less people are on here because of the investor facebook groups or instagram and now TikTok. I also think that BP has more paid ads and restrictions on what can be posted so maybe that has turned away the real investors. I am still looking for an off market property to fix n flip.
