Phone Ringing Off the Hook From Yellow Letters

Phone Ringing Off the Hook From Yellow Letters

Hey everyone.  Just wanted to write about my first day experience with www.Yellowletters.com.  So I ordered around 800 or so yellow letters just to start off a couple of weeks back, and I was getting worried because I hadn't received any calls from them yet.  Today was a completely different story.  I knew the yellow letters had reached their destinations because my phone has been ringing all day long!  I have a few promising prospects from my calls today.  Had to go back and listen to podcast #77 with Michael Quarles to get some tips on how to capitalize on these leads.  Anyway, great service and awesome podcast.  Will definitely be using the yellow letters again.

@Jay Hinrichs   I stopped judging people after I took a long look in a mirror.

As a home owner prior to investing, I would put a premium on MAIL actually arriving in my mailbox. What I absolutely did not like or want was " door hangers ", or notes in ( illegal ) , on or around my mailbox or door. Feeling that you have no right to invade my property. Don't even throw your catalog in my driveway  ( Avon ). BUT if you put the value on your message, enough to pay for postage, I wil honor that by reading the material. Possibly keeping it for future reference. So don't be afraid. Be forthright put a value on the message and the recipient. Explain the desire and ability to help.

Haters are gonna hate, crazies will be crazy. Remember you want to help those who are willing to take it.

My very first call a couple of weeks ago,  was an angry caller. This deep voiced man, very intimidating, starts screaming at me and said, "Hi, I keep getting your postcards in the mail and I'm telling you that I'm not selling my house for anything less than 395K! NO NEGOTIATING!

I responded, with excitement (because I got a call) in my sweet Disney singing inspired voice, "Oh, that's great! can I have your name, address and phone number so I can check if that amount is good for us?"

caller: "oh um... um... (getting louder and meaner as he speaks) well, don't you have my name and phone number on your caller I.D.!?"

Me: "oooooohhh noooo, I'm so sorry... I don't have anything on my phone but I'd be happy to write it down."

    Caller: (normal voice now) it's "410.......... "

Me: "I'm sorry, can you repeat that? I don't think we have a good connection"

caller: (this time he went so slow that I almost busted out laughing) foooouuuurrrr ooonnneeee oooohhhhhh......

Anyway, the rest of the conversation was calm. I asked him if I can call him back just to let him know if that offer was good or not (I knew it wasn't) and when I called him back with the bad news and my reasons, I asked him if he wouldn't mind holding onto my phone number in case he knows someone else who wants to sell their house. And he said, "sure I can do that!"

I didn't get a deal but I was jumping up and down, singing around the house because I got a call. LOL

@Michael Quarles what system do you use for recording your phone calls?

By the way, I've been listening to some of your podcasts and I love them! Very helpful.
