Radon levels are high

Radon levels are high

After my inspection for a condo, radon levels were high. I asked the seller to fix the radon

They fixed the Radon issue with a mitigation system. They retested the radon levels and they were as low as 0.9. This is a very safe radon level. Now does the price of a property drops after having a mitigation system? In other words does the mitigation system devalue a property for resale in the future?

In my market - Northern NV, Reno, Incline Village, the answer is "no." In an area that is known for Radon issues that would be seen as a betterment made by the seller. Good on you for doing that!

I have had two homes with radon mitigation systems and they had no impact on the property value

A properly installed radon mitigation system with post‑test results under typical safety thresholds doesn’t devalue a property; if anything, it reduces a future buyer’s objection by turning a health risk into a solved, documented feature. Keep the installation invoice, permit info if applicable, and the retest report in your disclosure packet so the next buyer sees “issue found, fixed, verified.” Good job getting it mitigated and retested.
