I live in Toronto and I would like to acquire a property that will provide some cash flow. Can anyone recommend good books or other resources to get started in the Canadian market ? Thanks!

If you haven't already, start with the basics and build a strong foundation :
Robert kiyosaki; rich dad poor dad, and cashflow quadrant
Bigger pockets has a ton of content; the book on managing rental properties, long - distant real estate investing, the book on rental property investing.
Not real estate specific :
Tim ferris the 4 hour work week
Napoleon Hill think and grow rich
All great books, hope you enjoy them

Caution on the above book list as they are U.S.A. centric ... the basic premises remain the same, the details here in Canada will be different. You might also have a look at Douglas Gray's "The Canadian Landlord's Guide: Expert Advice for the Profitable Real Estate Investor" and Cohen & Dube's "Legal, Tax and Accounting Strategies for the Canadian Real Estate Investor" as primers related to Canadian Real Estate.

I was also troubled by the amount of American content. Another book I found helpful was The Real Estate Retirement Plan by Calum Ross. He writes extensively on “how to finance”, taxation and investing.
Calum is also hosting an upcoming real estate investment forum on March 2, 2019 in Toronto, with a number of guest speakers and workshop sessions.
Never Split the Difference by Chris Voss, is another excellent book to help prepare you in any business deal.

All of the above mentioned books are great. I am also newbie in Canada RE market. Check this book out too: 97 Tips for Canadian Real Estate Investors bu Russell Westcott.
@Chris Green, of course you should read Rich Dad, Poor Dad. That won't really help you in Canadian Markets. Here is a list of Canadian books that I have read that I feel have value.
