Hi,
Does anybody know anything about Pinnacle Development Partners, LLC? I saw their ad in Newsweek and the return they promise investors for buying Atlanta foreclosures sounds too good to be true.
Thanks!
By the way, does anyone know how Gene is supposed to pay $22 million in restitution, especially since he is going to be in jail? I don't know how this works and am very curious.
still no check for me either.. hopefully I'm in the stack going out tonite/tomm morn.. I'm not a corp/llc.. only an individual .. but a member of the 6 figure club so maybe thats the delay for mine...
I'm glad to see that the judge didn't take O'neal's crime lightly and that he will be doing some serious time - Hopefully this will send a message to other scam artists out there. I was grateful to receive a settlement check - although less than expected I never disputed w/hays after reading the posts here - I didn't want to take away valuable time from those who have more significant losses. I hope the postmaster brings the rest of you good news soon.
I am not a pro by any means on restitution issues, but in a nutshell, what this sentence means is that if and when O'Neil gets out of jail, any future wages he might have will be attached to this judgment (as a %). Guess how much of it we will see since he'll probably be on Welfare (at least officially? Personally, I'd rather he never get out of jail as all he'll do is go back to his old ways only with much more deviousness and viciousness.
I received my check yesterday with delight and noticed that it was drawn up on JPMorgan Chase Bank. Just my luck, there is a Chase Bank approximately 5 minutes from my house. I get to the bank, give the teller my check and they direct me to another section of the bank because of the size of the check. The Senior Bank Teller looks at the check, takes my finger printer and proceeds to look up something that verifies that the check came from their institution and that funds are available. After several minutes, she calls her assistant and asked had she seen this particular comment before. She replies, " Oh yes, it means that we can't verify funds because the money is in a special account and we want be able to cash this check." I'm thinking to myself, you have got to be kidding. I was told by both tellers that I should take the check that was drawn up for Chase Bank and take it to my bank. Leaving very upset, I left, took the check to my bank and was informed that funds would be released no sooner than October 10. Has anyone experienced this type of delima while attempting to cash or deposit their check at Chase Bank or their local bank in which they have a bank account?
sorry to hear of your experience at chase bank.. funds availability varies from bank to bank (meaning your bank that you would deposit this check into).. I'm with Commerce Bank & their policy is next day avail on local checks & 3 days on non-local.. now I have not received my check yet to deposit to see if it would/will be an exception to that policy.. I'll let you know when I do
it's not uncommon for banks to hold on to the funds from large check deposits up 2 weeks to make sure that the check issuer has not put stop order on the check within this time period. I'm surprised that Chase is causing you issues while check is their own and they can easily verify that receiver has plenty of money to cover the check. Just hang in there since you've waited in there so long already.
OK, so being patient 2 weeks after the checks started coming, is hard. All of my friends have received their checks, and I was among the first to invest. I know I should be patient, but part of me wants to pick up the phone and call just to make sure that they had the right address (although I have received items at this address from them), and that there's nothing wrong w/ my account.
I'm going to wait it out, but will have to make a call at the end of the week.
Still don't have mine either, and all of my friends and family have received theirs over a week ago. I've never got anything from Hays or Pinnacle, including the confirmation of receiving my claim form, without having to question why I did not get anything after others have got information. I've also previously confirmed with Pinnacle and Hays that they had/have my correct address. I too was an early investor, and probably one of the first to send in my claim forms, so I understand your frustration.
I have yet to receive my chek, but the thing that really ticks me off is the lack of communication that I have experienced. I have sent emails that have gone unanswered. I have telephoned on several occasions and have yet to receive a return call. I have friends who are investors who have called after me and received a return telephone call. Son-of-a-bumble! :goofy:
I am really frustrated by this entire process. My frustration is only heightened by the fact that I have yet to receive my check.
Has anyone received their check by Fed-EX or one of the other private carriers?
Hi - I am brand new to post also. I haven't received my checks yet. It has been a month now. Should I call Hays or wait? I don't want to call them but this is getting to be too long. Too much time for these checks, even with the review processes. too long...anyone else out there without checks?
Thanks.
I am also without check. Beginning to panic a little as all of my family and friends have received theirs. I might have to call tomorrow if it hasn't shown up by today.
I don't have my check and I am really annoyed. I have been having an on going dialog with the folks at Hays since Tuesday and my disappointment grows daily. Like the Rolling Stones sang, I can't get no satisfaction. And calling doesn't seem to matter because they don't move any faster.
Thanks for the information. Looks like there are still a few of us out there with no check. I am also in CA, I wonder if that has anything to do with it????
I hope it is there tomorrow...another trek to the mailbox in high hopes...
I'm in Texas and I have yet to receive my check. Wait a minute I just said that!
Location doesn't matter. I have friends in California who had 3 accounts, one account over $100k and they've received 3 checks.
My understanding is that Mr. Hays has to look at all checks over $5k and sign off on them before they are mailed out! What a crock of bovine excrement!
