Best areas for appreciation in Sacramento

Hi! We are hoping to buy a home in Sacramento in and up and coming area that would have good appreciation potential. My understanding is that Tahoe Park, North Oak Park and West Sac may be good options but wondering if anyone has any better insights here. Thanks.

Hey Leanne I would suggest some of the ones you mentioned (Tahoe Park, West Sac) I would also suggest (Hollywood Park, Curtis & Land Park, as well as Colonial Heights!)

Bit bias cause i live here but i love west sac, and the appreciation ive gained over the last 6 years, proximity to downtown, proximity to the causeway for trips to the bay, tons of options for all types of home buyers, and a ton of growth economically and infrastructure development!

    Hey Leanna,

    Yes, I've bought and renovated 5 homes in Oak Park. My first residential home was in North Oak Park on 2nd Ave., where we raised our kids. Tahoe Park is great for families and a solid neighborhood, but has limited supply. I'd love to connect and chat more about the different neighborhoods and hear more about what your goals are.

    Hey Leanna. I'm a broker and investor here in Sacramento, and I manage 100+ properties for investors (mostly STR/MTR).

    You pretty much nailed it with Tahoe Park and West Sac (West Sac is definitely underrated and up-and-coming). 

    Oak Park is not necessarily considered a good area and it's gonna take a lot of development to change that. EAST SAC and the areas around the University are very consistent in terms of stability and appreciation, so if that's your priority, I would suggest looking there.

    I think Natomas still has a lot of upside.  A teaching hospital with 3000 jobs is replacing arco arena.  Centene is building another building to house a total of 6500 employees.  The air park is booming.  Easy access to downtown and the airport.  Lightrail will eventually run to SMF.
