Thoughts on OTM Episode - from this am 3/10/26

Listened to the most recent OTM episode on the way into work this am.  I tend to agree, and have agreed, with the sentiment that affordability is a fundamental driver, especially here in the midwest.  Even within sub markets of my market, the growth is happening or appreciation is happening in areas or assets that offer a "value proposition".  Even in rents, if a unit is premium, it drives a premium price.  but there must still be a sense of "well this is great for the money" regardless of the situation.

Additionally appreciated the take and sentiment that as we move further and further into a tech and ai slop world, the antithesis of that, or the fundamentals of manual "touches" will become more and more valuable.  One can't help but wonder if the push to ai ins't simply by design towards something less "connected" and that if you are offering that true relationship/connection in contrast, it is and will continue to be a driver of business and quality of life.
