Is Syndication Still the Best Way to Scale in 2025?

I've been structuring deals through syndications and exploring SPVs and crowdfunding platforms, but I keep coming back to this question;

Is syndication still the best way to scale in 2025, or are alternative structures like JV partnerships, SPVs, or even direct private placements becoming more competitive? With rising interest rates, shifting investor preferences, and the increasing role of tech in fundraising, are syndications still the best way to raise capital efficiently? Or are there better ways to attract investors without the complexity of a full syndication structure?

If you're actively raising capital, what structure has worked best for you lately?

     Define scale. How many deals have you done that have gone a full life cycle, and how did they perform? If you are doing your first deal I would say syndications is not the best way to proceed and your better partnering with someone to get experience. Times are very different than 4 years ago when anyone could raise money for a MF or other syndication deal, today there is a lot more due diligence and people wanted to get a grasp of who the sponsor is.
