Mike-- I believe some of the crowdfunders do debt investments as well as equity. Realtymogul says it may offer a particular loan or a pool of loans to its investors.

Interesting article, are any of these sites doing peer to peer lending for mortgages? For example instead of funding a developer taking the role of a bank and financing a residential mortgage?
