This Mistake Almost Cost Me $13k

When Jamie and I closed on our first flip, we were so pumped to get started we immediately started called a bunch of contractors for bids.

One HVAC company quoted us $18,000 to replace the system!

We thought that was crazy, so we called someone else who came in at $12,000.

I thought "Great, I just saved $6,000!"

Then, I told my hard money lender about it.

They said that’s WAY overpriced and to call their preferred HVAC guy.

Their guy came in at $4,500 for the same job.

Lesson learned: Always get contractor referrals from your hard money lender or other real estate investors. It can save you thousands!
