  1. Does a self directed IRA have any kind of service charge for buying within it?  For example, one of my IRAs is with Fidelity and the only charge I know I pay is a trading fee when I buy or sell a stock.


  2. There are others as well but since I have no experience with them I am not inclined to promote them. I am considering opening a second self directed IRA at a different custodian. Do you have any experience with any of these custodians?


    1. I like IRA Services Trust Company. They are especially good for holding IRA LLCs. They are the leader in holding IRA LLCs with checkbook control. Many of the IRA LLC facilitators use them to custody the IRA LLC because they custody over 30,000 of these and have been in business since 1978.
