Craig Haskell books (Value Hound Academy)

Has anyone ever read the books on apartment buildings from Craig Haskell (Value Hound Academy)? His site provides crazy good Commercial REI resources for free, but his books are a few years old and all have zero reviews EVERYWHERE.

It surprises me, because the table of contents seem very actionable and without fluff.

I would also like to know what others think of these books.

@Karma Senge  & @Thierry Van Roy yes I read his "Money Pit to Money Maker" apt book and would recommend it if you're looking to buy value-add properties that need work. Some good, practical advice.

Now that I have ready ALL of Craig's books, I can say that they are downright fantastic. I have completely digested every single article, interview and video he has on his website, AND read his books. Amazing stuff. Probably the best stuff out there, hands down.

Any recent reviews of Craig Haskell's programs?  Is the program worth the $1200 cost?

Great insights - thanks for sharing!  I had the privilege of being mentored by Craig Haskell, founder of the Value Hound Academy. Sadly, Craig passed away, and in 2025 I took over the Value Hound Academy with the goal of honoring his legacy and continuing the investment philosophy he built as I see great opportunities in this current downcycle. Since then, I've updated and restructured the Academy while keeping Craig's core Value Hound principles at its foundation. We officially relaunched in summer 2026 as a self-paced program, giving investors the flexibility to learn on their own schedule. We've also adjusted the pricing to make the Academy more accessible to investors who want to develop a disciplined, value-driven approach to multifamily real estate. It means a lot to me to carry Craig's work forward and introduce the Value Hound approach to a new generation of investors.
