I am looking for a tax strategist/CPA. Me and my husbands tax facts have gotten more complex this year and we are interested in strategies and advice to lower our tax liability for the upcoming years. We have 3 properties, one SFH, and 2 duplexes. 2 properties is owned in our personal name and the other in our property management company name. My husband also have a cleaning business and we both share a rental company. My husband is a new grad accountant studying for his CPA but is not 100% comfortable tackling our return this year. If you someone could recommend us to someone we would truly appreciate it.
There’s a lot of great CPAs on BP, so you’ve come to the right place!
The good news with having your husband be an accountant is that your books should be pretty clean which makes things easy come tax time.
The biggest things you’d want your preparer to assist with is getting the basis right on any new purchases, making sure qbi is elected properly for rental and related businesses.
On the tax strategy side, you’d want to see what options you have at your disposal tailored to your unique situation.
