I actually have to finish listening to the audiobook since I got sidetracked with the podcasts.My family owns a large plot of empty land in the East Bay and I'm interested in building some rental property on it.  

In this world of go, go, go, we are easily sidetracked, and we find ourselves very busy yet not necessarily making any progress.

I got side tracked and partnered in a passive role on a few flips which didn't really help me to acquire more rentals like I planned.

But, since this isn't about doing Lease Options in Texas, I didn't want to get sidetracked talking about Lease Options in Texas. ;-)

Side tracking question from a newbie...  

I suspect you are letting yourself get sidetracked with investing and aren't looking that hard. 

@Blair Poelman,I am looking to get into wholesaling and throughout my research and analysis on all of the properties that I am finding to be "good deals", I instantly get sidetracked (which may not really be sidetracked) and start looking to see how I can pursue it for myself.

@David Krulac  not to side track but I think that's what I do best on BP.... most of the railroad easements in our area were owned by logging companies.. and they are recorded rights of way.but your right railroads are about as tough as they come to negotiate with.we have a 160 lot subdivision going and there is a railroad between us and the main road.. you would think easy we just cross it etc..
