Gary, I'm not a blogger, so it's ironic that I'm trying to give you advice on this topic...but it struck me as I randomly read your forum, that as a landlord I learned a long time ago to stick with what I was good at, and hire experts for the things I didn't do as well.

I think the one thing that most new bloggers assume is that they will automatically get comments because they wrote something good.

another quick an easy way to get a sight set up is blogger account and buying the web address for $10 a year. google hosts and then you can just pay a freelancer to jaz it up the way you like
