Unfortunately with tenants you can't trust them to keep up with things like replacing furnace/ductless filters,  smoke detector batteries,  or sometimes even light bulbs.   

Some have a flashing red light (battery), that makes it look like it is recording.

Basic idea is to have something reliable, to keep cost down, and to be able to view the property remotely, with minimal fuss after installation (ideally wired / don't need to replace batteries every few months etc).Thanks!
