You just need to find a vacant house with a little paper sign in the window that says "These premises secured by <insert remote monitoring company>" and find the owners.If it goes to sale, then the owners are not only on the hook for the remainder of the mortgage, but also for the commission, the lawyer fees paid by the bank to take their home from them, and administrative fees and penalties from the bank.

Using that little plastic drywall insert is a joke—plus, nobody uses it.Cut the towel bar down to 16 inches so that the mounting brackets will screw right to the studs and not just drywall.If this is not possible, buy butterfly nuts and bolts to attach the mount that can’t be screwed to a stud.

It is sort of like buying a little car that is pretty cheap $2-4k for your 16 year old and using all your AAA towing mileage to pick the car up throughout the year and then eventually buying a nice used or new car VS buying a used or new Honda, Toyota, Ford (Insert reliable used car) and it lasting your kid through college till they are adults.

Anywhere from $500 - $2500+ depending on the insert you install and whether you run the vent and exhaust up the old flu or cap the flu and vent/exhaust through the side of the house/chimney.If you hire out the entire job, expect to be in the $1K - $1200 range.
