I have searches set up on all the main MLS apps keyword for “ADU, DADU, Grandmother unit” and am keeping an eye on property size and zoning for potential of adding a DADU or possibly tiny home as well as expanding on the existing house.It’s just a matter of finding.

If buying in a nice suburb in the Midwest with highly rated schools and someone has visited before multiple times and has a trusted team (key word: trusted) it could work well.

I think the key word here is "risk-adjusted" and if that makes you sleep better at night, then it may be worth it.

@Drew SygitI brought up that question in a post several months addressing the agents of a certain Midwest market (hint: it begins with an "O" and I don't want to stir up their keyword search lol).

Keyword RECIPROCAL, meaning "you do this to us so we will give back exactly what your doing unto us". 

If the former, consider setting up some keyword alerts, and then attending a few local meetups.
