See if you can get Protest Papers from the bank and then file a report with the appropriate law enforcement agency.

B of A told me I can protest the appraisal and submit my own comps. that would delay closing approximately three months and they could not guarantee to hold the rate agreed (4 7/8 interest).

You can do well with either but I prefer a local # because in my area being the "little guy" is more advantageous then trying to be a "BIG SHOT INVESTOR"...just to give you an idea on my reasoning I live in a town that has been protesting Home Depot moving in because "we don't need em here!".
