Do NOT ignore this issue, but also be reasonable about it.Bring it up to the tenant and just ask that they don't do it again.Check your lease and if it requires the property be returned in same or better condition, point this out to the tenant that they may have to restore the bathroom or be charged the cost of doing so when they move out.You could also "trade" the lease violation for a lease extension.

I think 3 things play a role in our bid being far lower than the winning bid 1) insider information: I suspect asome of the bidders know how the inside looks and can bid as though the inside is not destroyed or heavily in need of rehab 2) some bidders may be bidding to OO and do not need to make a profit, account for holding costs, or an extensive rehab. 3) there are some investors willing to take on risk of a trashed interior by playing the odds.
