I haven't used SimpliSafe, but I know Arlo has a two week battery so you can mount it outside and then take it down to charge while you are there.

I just finished paying for a electricians to install smoke alarms and carbon monoxide alarms to bring my first property up to code but It dawned on me that I could have used battery powered alarms, is either much better than the other?

So if the owner agrees and later leaves for a competitor they are stuck with a keyless lockset they can't use (unless the new property manager happens to also use the same system).Another note, the locksets you find in a hotel are battery powered.

most likely but I would hope the max they can take would be the property itself and none of my personal assets.If I am the lawyer for your injured tenant, and I find out that:1. you self manage2. you have a significant net worthI'm going to look at every battery and see how old it is, I'm going to check the dates on the smoke detectors, I'm going to check every bit of wiring, insulation, every little thing I can possibly find to get to you.
