I am a real estate investor (with a concentration in buy-and-hold properties) as well as a Police Officer for the city and I will warn you that crime is an issue.

Some people, based on their race and gender are required to perform better on tests when applying for jobs as firefighters and police officers.  

Ok, so your all for allowing Police to just randomly crab anyone, walk in your home whenever for whatever, with or without reason, right?   

The police presence (both housing authority and metro PD) seems to be significantly higher in SW than in any of the other areas of the District with high concentrations of poverty-- even on non game days.

It is located on West Clay just a few blocks down from the police department.

They also hired more police officers within the last year.

A couple of times people have called the police who then called me to see what was going on.

While this all occurred, I called police officers repeatedly, sometime for 3-6 hours straight, and cops never came.
