It's amazing that one can find expert advice over the net and in such a short time span.

I'm far from an expert, but i did just read about this type of thing in a Nolo legal book about Tax Deductions for landlords.This may depend on how you hold tiile and do business.

Sorry to hear about your unsuccessful flips but if you stick around here and learn from the experts you might get more knowledge on how to do it right and if you want to go back into flipping you will be more knowledgeable and won't make any more mistakes.

I am not in the business, although I know a handful of dudes who do modifications.I personally know that it has helped in SOME situations to have an expert negotiator handle the mitigation of a loan mod.One of my best friends took a Pay Option Arm a few years back, and it was going to recast.He contacted the lender himself, and they offered him 5.5% fixed for 30 years.He later contacted a Loan Modification Company (my other friends company) and they went to work with NO UP FRONT FEE.

I would not say I am an expert at all..just very lucky to have made the move to real estate investing.

are you kidding me, you'd be surprised how many agents here call themselves 'certified short sale experts'.............and I've done more shorts than they've sold house.

That said, just reading through the forums, articles, and our BiggerPockets blog, authored by over a dozen experts, will get you as good an education as you'll find in any expensive course, seminar, etc.
