As to law suits, one doesn't indicate much, 10% or more in a project is probably showing something, but, as to common areas take a look for yourself, I've seen some pretty picky HOAs complain about standard practice, if the walk passed code the owners probably expect it to last as long as thier homes.....Due diligence on a contractor isn't too hard, I'd like to see them be in business about 15 years or have some really quality builds.

If you have it in those places, I would remove it.As Jon Holdman indicated, your sewer main in a house this age is likely cast iron and it does eventually fail.

With this disclosure, you may have to undertake a Phase I Environmental Assessment - your lender or insurer may insist on it.We had a very similar deal on a multi-family a year ago - when the Phase I and some soil sampling came back strongly indicating remediation, we - and our lender - insisted on placing a substantial portion of the purchase price (30%) in escrow to cover remediation costs.

Honestly, I think either one is fine to use (don't take my videos as a conclusive indication of which one is better) - but depending on the size and purpose of your list, they may not come out to the same price, even if you're dealing with identical scenarios across both platforms.

I searched them and they are being offered for anywhere from $1000-$1,150 per month, which is higher than my research indicates.
