As I pursue my goal of becoming a lender soon, and eventually owning multi family, vacation rentals, and luxury spots for up to 500 people, I'm wondering what I should consider doing that I'm not yet working with. 

We are trying to legalize an attached garage conversion in our investment SFH in San Jose, CA (converted 10+ years ago and purchased as is).

My business plain is to eventually quit my job and invest full time.

This building was originally a 4500 sqft SFH but was converted to a multi-family about 20 years ago.

Hi all...looking for some general guidance here if I may...I purchased a home in 2001, lived in it for 2 years til ‘03, and converted to rental.

The plan is to convert the commercial space (currently 1 of the 4 units) to a residential unit, which I've already cleared with the city permit/inspections office and have spoken with an architect regarding the process.

But eventually, you'll probably have to bite the bullet and hire a PM.Give yourself a pat on the back--you took action, a step which many never take.
