If you're going to resell you should have the place tested by a professional for mold after you fix it up and make those test results available to prospective buyers.

Most purchase contracts (and I'm assuming you're using your standard state contract since you're dealing with listed properties) give you the opportunity to conduct a wide variety of inspections, tests, etc.
