If you grew up in Chicago like I did, you also would have had some exposure to graft and corruption.

I grew up just north of San Francisco and moved to Reno, NV to live and invest. 

@Jim K. fun fact - according to the 2020 Census, Allegheny County grew in population for the first time since 1960, while Pittsburgh again lost a few thousand more residents (but just barely managed to stay above 300,000). 

Where I grew up, one town has two school districts, 1 is consistently top 10 in the country, the other is closer to the bottom. 

For example, when I grew up, I was taught to kill any Thai or Vietnamese individual when ever I had the chance, because they would do the same to me.

I grew up around campgrounds my parents ran for 15+ years.

I grew up on Old Brooklyn & to be honest 25-30 years ago I'd say it was a bit better than it is today.

I grew up ridiculously poor - at one point we were homeless, and I lived long periods with no electricity, hot water, telephone, etc.

I grew up in Columbia County (Hudson/Greenport)...about 25 min from Austerlitz area.

I grew up in bloor west village it was a great place with everything nearby yet quiet enough from the hustle and bustle
