Hi all, quick question for California STR hosts on Airbnb. Have you had guests book 28 days and then ask to extend past 30 days (in my case, to about 40 days)? I know that in CA this can legally turn them into tenants...

For example, I’ll include a conditional extension option—the tenant has first right of refusal, but they need to confirm their intent to extend by a specific date (say 30–60 days before the lease ends).That way, I’m not holding the calendar indefinitely and risking vacancies, but I’m also not over-booking and leaving a good tenant with no options.
